Job Summary

The Secondary School Principal is responsible for providing strategic, academic, administrative, and operational leadership for the secondary school. Job Purpose

The principal is responsible for providing visionary, Christ-centred leadership for the secondary school by ensuring excellence in academic achievement, spiritual formation, character development, and operational management. As the chief academic and administrative leader, the principal is accountable for creating a safe, nurturing, and disciplined learning environment where students are equipped to achieve their God-given potential and become responsible, compassionate, and purpose-driven leaders.

The principal leads the implementation of the school's strategic vision, oversees the delivery of a high-quality curriculum, and ensures outstanding performance in internal and external examinations, including WAEC, NECO, BECE, and JAMB. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant discipline (required).
  • Master’s degree in education, Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
  • Professional membership with relevant educational bodies is an advantage.

Experience

  1. Minimum of 8–10 years' teaching experience.
  2. At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or school management role.
